# Galaxy Soul vs Ultimate Viking

The clearest difference is rating: Ultimate Viking at 4.4 against Galaxy Soul's 3.8. Ultimate Viking also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (320 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ultimate Viking holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultimate Viking has 320 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Galaxy Soul's written reviews are positive against 71% of Ultimate Viking's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Galaxy Soul ships an update every 4 months, Ultimate Viking every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
