# FlixBus vs FLEXIBUS 2.0

The clearest difference is ratings volume: FlixBus at 96K against FLEXIBUS 2.0's 1. FlixBus also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (37% vs 21%). FLEXIBUS 2.0's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FLEXIBUS 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlixBus has 96K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of FlixBus's written reviews are positive against 21% of FLEXIBUS 2.0's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FlixBus ships an update every 8 days, FLEXIBUS 2.0 monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
