# FlixBus vs TocoBus

FlixBus and TocoBus both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of TocoBus's written reviews are positive against 38% of FlixBus's. TocoBus also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). FlixBus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (95K vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TocoBus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlixBus has 95K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of FlixBus's written reviews are positive against 100% of TocoBus's.

FlixBus ships an update every 8 days, TocoBus fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
