# FlixBus vs APT IIN

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlixBus at every 8 days against APT IIN's every 5 months. FlixBus also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (96K vs 7). APT IIN's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FlixBus holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlixBus has 96K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlixBus ships an update every 8 days, APT IIN every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
