# Ear Doctor vs Rescue Dash

The clearest difference is rating: Rescue Dash at 4.8 against Ear Doctor's 4.4. Rescue Dash also leads on ratings volume (7.6K vs 371). Ear Doctor's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 41%) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ear Doctor sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Rescue Dash sells 15 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rescue Dash holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rescue Dash has 7.6K ratings behind it against 371, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Ear Doctor's written reviews are positive against 41% of Rescue Dash's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ear Doctor ships an update every 2 months, Rescue Dash monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
