# Note Calculator vs ChatX

The clearest difference is price: ChatX at Free against Note Calculator's $0.99. ChatX also leads on ratings volume (482 vs 4). Note Calculator's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On review sentiment, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

ChatX is free to download; Note Calculator costs $0.99 up front. ChatX sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Note Calculator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Note Calculator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatX has 482 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Note Calculator's written reviews are positive against 88% of ChatX's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
