# Pitapat vs OverEcho

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pitapat at free against OverEcho's free with in-app purchases. Pitapat also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (17 vs 5). OverEcho's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 4 months) and chart position (#196 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pitapat sells 13 one-off in-app purchases and OverEcho sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pitapat holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Pitapat's written reviews are positive against 75% of OverEcho's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pitapat ships an update every 4 months, OverEcho monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
