# Work Log vs Timely Sheets

The clearest difference is ads: Work Log at none against Timely Sheets's shown. Work Log also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (817 vs 33). Timely Sheets's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 28%) and iOS requirement (14.1 vs 16.6). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Work Log sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Timely Sheets sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for Work Log against 4.2 for Timely Sheets. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Work Log has 817 ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Work Log's written reviews are positive against 50% of Timely Sheets's.

Work Log ships an update every 3 weeks, Timely Sheets every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
