# Google Admin vs Grid.works

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Grid.works at 100% against Google Admin's 9%. Grid.works also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.7) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). Google Admin's advantage is ratings volume (486 vs 5) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Grid.works holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Admin has 486 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 9% of Google Admin's written reviews are positive against 100% of Grid.works's.

Google Admin ships an update every 8 months, Grid.works every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 10, 2026.
