# Google Admin vs Tails VIP

The clearest difference is rating: Tails VIP at 5.0 against Google Admin's 1.7. Tails VIP also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 8 months) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). Google Admin's advantage is ratings volume (518 vs 2) and review sentiment (9% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tails VIP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Admin has 518 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of Google Admin's written reviews are positive against 0% of Tails VIP's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Google Admin ships an update every 8 months, Tails VIP fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
