# instdown vs SnapTik

The clearest difference is ads: SnapTik at none against instdown's shown. SnapTik also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 51%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 5 weeks). instdown's advantage is ratings volume (148K vs 3.4K). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. instdown sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and SnapTik sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

instdown holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: instdown has 148K ratings behind it against 3.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of instdown's written reviews are positive against 75% of SnapTik's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

instdown ships an update every 5 weeks, SnapTik weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
