# Fieldwire vs BoardCount

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Fieldwire at 14K against BoardCount's 2. BoardCount's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fieldwire sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BoardCount sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BoardCount holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Fieldwire has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 85% of Fieldwire's written reviews are positive against 100% of BoardCount's.

Fieldwire ships an update every 2 weeks, BoardCount every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
