# Puralax vs EggSort

The clearest difference is rating: Puralax at 4.5 against EggSort's 4.2. Puralax also leads on ratings volume (30 vs 5). EggSort's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 90%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Puralax holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Puralax has 30 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Puralax's written reviews are positive against 100% of EggSort's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Puralax ships an update every 2 months, EggSort every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
