# Crazy Chic vs Makeup Kit

The clearest difference is rating: Makeup Kit at 4.7 against Crazy Chic's 3.6. Makeup Kit also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (257K vs 5). Crazy Chic's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Makeup Kit sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Crazy Chic asks for nothing beyond the download.

Makeup Kit holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Makeup Kit has 257K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of Crazy Chic's written reviews are positive against 64% of Makeup Kit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Crazy Chic ships an update every 20 months, Makeup Kit every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
