# AB Quantum vs Lapua Ballistics

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Lapua Ballistics at none against AB Quantum's 15. Lapua Ballistics also leads on review sentiment (67% vs 45%). AB Quantum's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 10). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AB Quantum sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Lapua Ballistics asks for nothing beyond the download.

AB Quantum holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AB Quantum has 2.9K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of AB Quantum's written reviews are positive against 67% of Lapua Ballistics's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AB Quantum ships an update fortnightly, Lapua Ballistics every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
