# Live Bird Watching vs AppStack

The clearest difference is update cadence: AppStack at every 5 days against Live Bird Watching's every 9 months. Live Bird Watching's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Live Bird Watching sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AppStack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Live Bird Watching ships an update every 9 months, AppStack every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
