# AVLView GPS Vehicle Tracking vs GroundCloud

The clearest difference is ratings volume: GroundCloud at 394 against AVLView GPS Vehicle Tracking's 5. GroundCloud also leads on rating (2.8 vs 2.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GroundCloud holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GroundCloud has 394 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of AVLView GPS Vehicle Tracking's written reviews are positive against 31% of GroundCloud's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AVLView GPS Vehicle Tracking ships an update every 3 weeks, GroundCloud fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
