# 咪咕视频 vs 央视频

The clearest difference is rating: 咪咕视频 at 4.6 against 央视频's 2.5. 咪咕视频 also leads on ratings volume (4K vs 11) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). 央视频's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 咪咕视频 sells 32 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and 央视频 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

咪咕视频 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 咪咕视频 has 4K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of 咪咕视频's written reviews are positive against 29% of 央视频's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

咪咕视频 ships an update fortnightly, 央视频 every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
