# My Music Timer vs Timer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: My Music Timer at 74% against Timer's 20%. My Music Timer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). Timer's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 3.9) and ads (none vs shown). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. My Music Timer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timer has 442 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of My Music Timer's written reviews are positive against 20% of Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Music Timer ships an update every 8 months, Timer every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
