# Mach Write vs UPAD V

The clearest difference is price: Mach Write at Free against UPAD V's $9.99. UPAD V's advantage is rating (4.2 vs 1.0) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Mach Write is free to download; UPAD V costs $9.99 up front. Mach Write sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. UPAD V asks for nothing beyond the download.

UPAD V holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UPAD V has 24 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Mach Write's written reviews are positive against 43% of UPAD V's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
