# FilesAnywhere vs Total Drive

The clearest difference is rating: Total Drive at 4.2 against FilesAnywhere's 3.5. Total Drive also leads on ratings volume (1.7K vs 31). FilesAnywhere's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (44% vs 16%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Total Drive holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Total Drive has 1.7K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of FilesAnywhere's written reviews are positive against 16% of Total Drive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FilesAnywhere ships an update every 6 weeks, Total Drive every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
