# Shifter vs Halftone

The clearest difference is rating: Halftone at 5.0 against Shifter's 4.4. Halftone also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Shifter's advantage is ratings volume (24 vs 7) and iOS requirement (6.1 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
