# Purified Porn Filter vs AppCrypt

The clearest difference is rating: Purified Porn Filter at 4.3 against AppCrypt's 3.7. Purified Porn Filter also leads on ratings volume (185 vs 7). AppCrypt's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Purified Porn Filter sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and AppCrypt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Purified Porn Filter holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Purified Porn Filter has 185 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 81% of Purified Porn Filter's written reviews are positive against 88% of AppCrypt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Purified Porn Filter ships an update every 5 months, AppCrypt every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
