# Punjabi Keys vs DigiLocker

The clearest difference is rating: Punjabi Keys at 4.0 against DigiLocker's 3.3. Punjabi Keys also leads on iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.6). DigiLocker's advantage is review sentiment (36% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 5 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Punjabi Keys holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DigiLocker has 190 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Punjabi Keys's written reviews are positive against 36% of DigiLocker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Punjabi Keys ships an update every 5 months, DigiLocker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
