# Stepwise Pedometer vs Pedometer

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Stepwise Pedometer at 3.7K against Pedometer's 48. Stepwise Pedometer also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 64%). Pedometer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stepwise Pedometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per year and Pedometer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Stepwise Pedometer against 4.6 for Pedometer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stepwise Pedometer has 3.7K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of Stepwise Pedometer's written reviews are positive against 64% of Pedometer's.

Stepwise Pedometer ships an update every 2 months, Pedometer fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
