# Speedy Note vs Solfa

The clearest difference is price: Solfa at Free against Speedy Note's $1.99. Solfa also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 16 months). Speedy Note's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (67% vs 49%). On in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Solfa is free to download; Speedy Note costs $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Solfa holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Solfa has 801 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Speedy Note's written reviews are positive against 49% of Solfa's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Speedy Note ships an update every 16 months, Solfa every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
