# Magnetology vs UAV Forecast

Magnetology and UAV Forecast both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 80% of Magnetology's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's. UAV Forecast's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magnetology sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and UAV Forecast sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Magnetology against 4.6 for UAV Forecast. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UAV Forecast has 3.5K ratings behind it against 82, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Magnetology's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's.

Magnetology ships an update every 3 months, UAV Forecast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
