# Jodel vs Shotgram

The clearest difference is rating: Jodel at 4.4 against Shotgram's 3.7. Jodel also leads on ratings volume (121K vs 3). Shotgram's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jodel sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and Shotgram sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Jodel holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jodel has 121K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jodel ships an update every 2 weeks, Shotgram daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
