# Jodel vs FAX

The clearest difference is rating: FAX at 5.0 against Jodel's 4.4. FAX also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). Jodel's advantage is ratings volume (121K vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jodel sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days and FAX sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FAX holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Jodel has 121K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Jodel ships an update every 2 weeks, FAX every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
