# Badger Maps vs MyRoute

The clearest difference is update cadence: Badger Maps at every 9 days against MyRoute's every 3 months. Badger Maps also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 80). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Badger Maps sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $59.99 per month and MyRoute sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Badger Maps holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Badger Maps has 1.1K ratings behind it against 80, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Badger Maps's written reviews are positive against 88% of MyRoute's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Badger Maps ships an update every 9 days, MyRoute every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
