# SimpleHours vs Rephraise

The clearest difference is ads: SimpleHours at none against Rephraise's shown. Rephraise's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 9 months) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimpleHours ships an update every 9 months, Rephraise every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
