# HB Auditory Memory vs Read Live

The clearest difference is rating: Read Live at 5.0 against HB Auditory Memory's 3.6. HB Auditory Memory's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 29%) and ratings volume (35 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Read Live holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: HB Auditory Memory has 35 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of HB Auditory Memory's written reviews are positive against 29% of Read Live's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HB Auditory Memory ships an update every 3 months, Read Live every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
