# AES Crypt vs Lento

The clearest difference is update cadence: Lento at every 3 days against AES Crypt's every 9 months. AES Crypt's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AES Crypt sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and Lento sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
