# Offline GPS Navigation vs Waypointer

The clearest difference is rating: Offline GPS Navigation at 4.6 against Waypointer's 1.0. Offline GPS Navigation also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 11 days vs every 5 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Offline GPS Navigation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Waypointer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Offline GPS Navigation holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Offline GPS Navigation has 2.9K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Offline GPS Navigation ships an update every 11 days, Waypointer every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
