# Waaaaay! vs LuckyDirectionMap

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Waaaaay! at 80% against LuckyDirectionMap's 38%. LuckyDirectionMap's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Waaaaay! sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and LuckyDirectionMap sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LuckyDirectionMap holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LuckyDirectionMap has 21 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Waaaaay!'s written reviews are positive against 38% of LuckyDirectionMap's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Waaaaay! ships an update fortnightly, LuckyDirectionMap every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
