# EESpeech Lite vs Listen & Talk

The clearest difference is rating: Listen & Talk at 5.0 against EESpeech Lite's 4.7. EESpeech Lite's advantage is review sentiment (94% vs 80%) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EESpeech Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Listen & Talk sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Listen & Talk holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EESpeech Lite has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of EESpeech Lite's written reviews are positive against 80% of Listen & Talk's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

EESpeech Lite ships an update every 6 weeks, Listen & Talk every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
