# Avast Secureline VPN Proxy vs Mullvad VPN

The clearest difference is rating: Avast Secureline VPN Proxy at 4.7 against Mullvad VPN's 4.1. Avast Secureline VPN Proxy also leads on ratings volume (24K vs 1.4K). Mullvad VPN's advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 46%) and chart position (#51 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Avast Secureline VPN Proxy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Mullvad VPN sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Avast Secureline VPN Proxy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Avast Secureline VPN Proxy has 24K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of Avast Secureline VPN Proxy's written reviews are positive against 58% of Mullvad VPN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Avast Secureline VPN Proxy ships an update every 2 months, Mullvad VPN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
