The clearest difference is rating: CatsTV at 5.0 against Thanthi TV's 2.7. CatsTV also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Thanthi TV's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
