# Canal 10 vs CGTN

The clearest difference is rating: CGTN at 4.4 against Canal 10's 3.0. CGTN also leads on ratings volume (395 vs 2) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). Canal 10's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CGTN holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CGTN has 395 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Canal 10's written reviews are positive against 54% of CGTN's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Canal 10 ships an update every 3 months, CGTN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
