# Splashtop Classroom vs Classroom Spy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Classroom Spy at 100% against Splashtop Classroom's 64%. Splashtop Classroom's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 13 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Splashtop Classroom holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Splashtop Classroom's written reviews are positive against 100% of Classroom Spy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Splashtop Classroom ships an update every 3 months, Classroom Spy every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
