# BTS NodeB vs TripTracker

The clearest difference is update cadence: TripTracker at every 3 days against BTS NodeB's every 2 weeks. BTS NodeB's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (6.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BTS NodeB ships an update every 2 weeks, TripTracker every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
