# BabySparks vs Afini

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BabySparks at 13K against Afini's 1. Afini's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BabySparks sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Afini sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Afini holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BabySparks has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BabySparks ships an update every 3 weeks, Afini fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
