# Dosatron vs Probe Setup

The clearest difference is rating: Dosatron at 3.5 against Probe Setup's 2.2. Dosatron also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months). Probe Setup's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 17%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dosatron holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 17 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Dosatron's written reviews are positive against 25% of Probe Setup's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dosatron ships an update every 2 months, Probe Setup every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
