# LSU Shield vs SLECA

The clearest difference is rating: SLECA at 5.0 against LSU Shield's 4.2. LSU Shield's advantage is ratings volume (31 vs 2) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 12 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SLECA holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LSU Shield has 31 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LSU Shield ships an update every 6 months, SLECA every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
