# Disk Mounter vs iKlips

The clearest difference is rating: iKlips at 4.6 against Disk Mounter's 3.8. iKlips also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 9). Disk Mounter's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 47%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Disk Mounter sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and iKlips sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iKlips holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iKlips has 4.7K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Disk Mounter's written reviews are positive against 47% of iKlips's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Disk Mounter ships an update monthly, iKlips every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 13, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
