# PhotoStudy vs Study AI

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PhotoStudy at 70% against Study AI's 28%. PhotoStudy also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (2.1K vs 82). Study AI's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoStudy sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Study AI sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PhotoStudy holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoStudy has 2.1K ratings behind it against 82, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of PhotoStudy's written reviews are positive against 28% of Study AI's.

PhotoStudy ships an update every 2 months, Study AI every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
