# PhotoStudy vs Homework AI

The clearest difference is rating: Homework AI at 4.8 against PhotoStudy's 4.2. Homework AI also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoStudy sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Homework AI sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homework AI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2.1K and 4.9K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of PhotoStudy's written reviews are positive against 63% of Homework AI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PhotoStudy ships an update every 2 months, Homework AI every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
