# PhotoStudy vs Homework Helper

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PhotoStudy at 2.1K against Homework Helper's 118. Homework Helper's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (83% vs 70%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoStudy sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and Homework Helper sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Homework Helper holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoStudy has 2.1K ratings behind it against 118, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of PhotoStudy's written reviews are positive against 83% of Homework Helper's.

PhotoStudy ships an update every 2 months, Homework Helper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
