# PhotoStudy vs Snap Homework

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Snap Homework at none against PhotoStudy's 10. Snap Homework also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). PhotoStudy's advantage is ratings volume (2.1K vs 212) and review sentiment (70% vs 61%). On price, rating, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PhotoStudy sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Snap Homework asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.2 for PhotoStudy against 4.2 for Snap Homework. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PhotoStudy has 2.1K ratings behind it against 212, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of PhotoStudy's written reviews are positive against 61% of Snap Homework's.

PhotoStudy ships an update every 2 months, Snap Homework every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 23, 2026.
