# Notepad vs Neon draw

The clearest difference is rating: Neon draw at 5.0 against Notepad's 4.2. Notepad's advantage is update cadence (every 4 months vs every 47 months) and ratings volume (18 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Neon draw sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Neon draw holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notepad has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Notepad ships an update every 4 months, Neon draw every 47 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
